RIT jumped out 3-0 second-period lead en route to a 4-2 victory at Holy Cross in Atlantic Hockey action, Saturday.
Goals by senior defenseman Darren Brady (Lake Orion, MI/New Jersey Titans), sophomore forward Will Calverley (Scarborough, Ontario/Chilliwack Chiefs) and freshman forward Elijah Gonsalves (Scarborough, Ontario/Wellington Dukes) led the Tigers (14-11-3, 10-7-3 AHA) to the split with the Crusaders (9-13-5, 8-11-3 AHA) after falling, 4-3, on Friday.
RIT jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead after Brady took a nice feed across the front of the Holy Cross crease from senior forward senior forward Nick Bruce (Fall River, Nova Scotia/Johnstown Tomahawks) and scored inside the right post 52 seconds into the game.
Calverley finished a rush off a cross from sophomore forward Merritt Oszytko (Edmonton, Alberta/Fort McMurray Oil Barons) with 4:03 on the clock as the Tigers led, 2-0, at the end of the first period.
RIT GOAL – Dupuis puts away the empty-netter with 22.9 left.
