Police: Seneca Falls woman falsely reported multiple instances of child abuse, prompted CPS investigation

On Monday, January 27th at approximately 1:37 p.m. police arrested a 35-year-old Seneca Falls woman following an investigation involving the Seneca Falls Police Department and Seneca County Child Protective Services.

Shamin R. Kabir, 35, was arrested after atuhorities received a complaint through the New York State Registry for abuse.

Police say Kabir made several allegations of child abuse against another individual that reportedly took place in the Town of Seneca Falls.



Following an investigation it was determined that all of the claims were unfounded. It was further determined that Kabir made baseless claims to the child abuse hotline.

As result she was charged with falsely reporting an incident, a misdemeanor.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
