It was raining three’s in Newark on Tuesday night. The Mynderse Blue Devils drained 14 three pointers as a team against the Newark Reds 2-3 zone defense. Senior Troy Kabat made 8 of them which is just one shy of the school record. Devin Anderson, who made nine in an opening round sectional game in 2018, still holds the record. The Blue Devils picked up a 12-point road win over the Reds.
On the girls side, the Gananda Panthers took down the Lyons Lions by two points in the Atwood Gymnasium to snap their 10-game win streak.
Also, Isabella Wilbur scored 42 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Red Creek Rams to 41-point win over the North Rose-Wolcott Cougars. Wilbur scored the first 26 points for the Rams.
