Police arrested a man in connection with the theft of a donation jar a local restaurant in downtown Auburn.
Dublas Hernandez is accused of stealing the jar, which was said to have about $200 inside it for the St. Baldrick’s Foudnation.
Kelli Scott, an employee at the restaurant, was raising funds for an event in the spring.
Hernandez was charged with petit larceny. There was another outstanding warrant for his arrest at the time he was taken into custody. That one was from a May 2019 incident.

A popular grab-and-go restaurant in downtown Auburn is asking for the public’s help, along with local police, to find a person who stole a donation jar from their counter.
The theft happened Sunday, January 26th at approximately 6:44 p.m. at Mesa Grande Taqueria in Auburn.
Management posted to Facebook that the donations were for St. Baldricks. An employee at the store participates annually.
Anyone with information should contact the Auburn Police Department.
