Drunk driver nearly collided with deputy’s vehicle in Wayne County

An Ontario driver was arrested after nearly causing a collision with a deputy’s vehicle in Wayne County on Saturday around 6 p.m.

Deputies arrested Danielle McBridge, 30, of Ontario for driving while intoxicated.

A deputy reported that they were traveling north on Walworth Ontario Road approaching the intersection with Ridge Road; and McBridge was traveling south on Furnace Road – approaching the same intersection.

She failed to yield the right of way and nearly caused a crash with the deputy.

A traffic stop was initiated and she was arrested on several charges. Her BAC was determined to be 0.09%.

She was released to a friend and is to return to Ontario Town Court at a later date.
