Man accused of holding knife to girlfriend’s throat at Wayne County motel

Troopers say they arrested a 32-year-old in Wayne County after he held a knife to his girlfriend’s throat.

Joseph Schutt, 32, was taken into custody at the Budget Inn around 2:15 a.m. The motel is located in the town of Ontario.

Troopers say he took a mixture of cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl and meth. They note that Schutt had to be sedated to be taken into custody.

He had already been wanted on a parole violation, and now he faces even more charges after the violent incident.

The full-list of charges filed in the case had not yet been released by troopers.
