Deputies say that a Geneva woman was arrested on a felony charge after an investigation into public assistance.
Rachel Beavers, 36, of Geneva was arrested after it was discovered that while she was receiving public assistance – she was also not reporting her husband’s income from employment.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that her failure to report meant that $18,793 in public assistance was issued that she was not eligible to receive due to income restrictions.
Beavers was charged with third-degree grand larceny and issued an appearance ticket.
