The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that they investigated a smoke condition at the Quality Inn located on State Route 414 in Seneca Falls during the overnight hours.
A call came to the 911 Center around 2:22 a.m. after a fire alarm was activated at the hotel. Additional information received from the alarm company reported a possible fire in the hotel, according to police.
They say firefighters from Seneca Falls responded with mutual aid assistance from Waterloo, Fayette, and Geneva fire departments.
First responders on-scene discovered the odor of smoke inside the lobby, and began investigation. The cause of the smoke condition is believed to be isolated. No fire was discovered, and the cause of the smoke is likely a heating unit.
Police say no guests were in danger. The scene was turned over to maintenance staff on-scene. North Seneca Ambulance and the Seneca County Office of Emergency Management also responded.
