A Buffalo Bills Hall of Famer is facing some backlash after making a political proclamation on social media over the weekend.
Jim Kelly, who resides in the 27th Congressional District, endorsed Beth Parlatoon on Saturday.
“Jill and I are supporting @BethForCongress,” Kelly wrote on Twitter. “Our daughters grew up together; we know her and trust her to stand for what matters most. She’s a strong Conservative/Republican we believe can win special election.”

Responders on social media then called him out for getting political and supporting a conservative candidate.
Jill Kelly then responded with her own tweet. “When you tweet to support a friend running for Congress that you’ve known for more than 20 years and you get hate. It’s called loyalty,” she said.
