A Dansville woman was arrested on felony charges after issuing two bad checks and not returning the merchandise she received at a store in East Bloomfield.
Sheriff Kevin Henderson reports that on January 7th deputies arrested Margaret Stuart, 35, for third-degree grand larceny, after allegedly writing two separate checks worth more than $3,520 to the Outdoor Store in East Bloomfield, which were rejected by her bank.
Henderson says the Outdoor Store followed its procedure for contesting a bad check with no success in receiving reimbursement from Stuart.
Stuart was arrested after an appearance in Livonia Town Court for similar charges in Livingston County. She was issued an appearance ticket.
The charges will be answered at a later date in Bloomfield Town Court.
