The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies are investigating a one-vehicle crash that happened in the town of Lyons on Route 14.
Deputies say a vehicle headed south on Route 14, operated by Raymond Carruthers, 63, lost control due to unseat speed on snow covered roads.
The vehicle went off the road, splitting a utility pole in half. Both the driver, and his passenger, were transported to Geneva General Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say they were assisted by the Lyons Fire Department, Lyons Town Ambulance, and Finger Lakes Ambulance.
