Corning man threatened to shoot, bomb, and burn store in Steuben County

A Corning resident was arrested on felony charges after threatening to shoot, burn, and bomb a retail store in Steuben County.

Sheriff Jim Allard says that on January 5th deputies arrested Matthew Parker, 30, of Corning following an investigation at a retail establishment.

Parker is accused of threatening to burn, shoot, and bomb the retail establishment located in Erwin.

Sheriff Allard says that Parker attempted to coerce a civilian population by threatening to cause murder. He was charged with making a terroristic threat, a Class D felony.

He was held at the Steuben County Jail and appeared in CAP Court.

Parker was released to appear in Erwin Town Court.
