New York may soon automatically add any citizen that fills out a state form to the voting rolls under a revised bill that will head to State Senate.
Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins will push for the bill along with voting advocates and other Democrats on Tuesday.
The measure is expected to pass with ease. Governor Andrew Cuomo called for automatic voters registration in his State of the State address.
An error with the way the bill was worded prevented it from being passed last year.
