Auburn man pleads guilty to felony drug charge

Yet another guilty plea.

An Auburn man who had previously been convicted of a pair of robbery charges, pleaded guilty this week to a drug possession charge, according to The Citizen.

Robert Ruiz, 29, of Auburn was arrested in September. At the time of his arrest – cocaine and a cutting agent were found.

He had been charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. It’s a Class B felony, and after being arrested – The Citizen reports that authorities said he ‘physically refused’ to be processed.

In court this week, Ruiz pleaded guilty to a slightly reduced charge. He was promised a conditional sentence of 3+ years.
