Police locate suspicious vehicle in Geneva, say no one harmed

UPDATE: Police thank community for assistance after tips, assistance

After a brief search on Wednesday for a vehicle with an occupant, who may or may not have been in danger, authorities located it, as well as the occupants.

They say that both were safe and uninjured as of 4:30 p.m.

The investigation is continuing.

The Geneva Police Department thanked the community for providing tips and information regarding their initial request.


Police: Witness says female was yelling for help from car near Geneva HS

Police are on the search for a vehicle, after witnesses say a female passenger was yelling for help near a Geneva school.

On January 8th at 12:37 p.m. the Geneva Police Department responded to the Geneva Middle School for a suspicious condition complaint.

Witnesses report the below vehicle was seen driving northbound on Carter Road, by the high school and middle school with a female opening the passenger door – yelling for help.

The vehicle continued north without stopping and appeared to increase its speed as the female was yelling, according to police.

The only description provided by witnesses was a silver Honda or Toyota, unknown model or license plate number.
