Police: Child wasn’t secured properly inside vehicle during Canandaigua traffic stop

Police say a Rochester woman was cited for possessing marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child after a traffic stop on January 3rd.

Police say Katie Morotta, 24, of Rochester was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child after a roadside investigation.

She was stopped for speeding on Saltonstall Street, and following that investigation – officers found a young child who was not restrained properly inside the vehicle.

Police say the child was not hurt in the incident. Morotta was released to appear in Canandaigua City Court at a later date.
