Auburn man resists arrest after incident at apartment complex, attempts to escape custody while at police HQ

A 29-year-old Auburn man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident at the Auburn Gove Apartments lasts week.

Police say Tavon Stallworth is accused of breaking an exterior door at one of the apartment blocks before trying to shut it from the inside, according to Finger Lakes News Radio.

While responding to the incident, one officer suffered minor injuries.

They were treated at Auburn Community Hospital.

Once at police headquarters, Stallworth attempted to escape from custody.

He was arraigned and held at the Cayuga County Jail.
