RIT sophomore forward Jake Joffe (Toronto, Ontario/Toronto Jr. Canadiens) scored the lone Tiger goal in a 1-1 draw opposite vising Canisius, Friday night. Joffe later notched the deciding tally during the penalty shootout to clinch an extra point for RIT in the Atlantic Hockey standings.
RIT (10-6-3, 7-5-3 AHA) got on the board after junior goalie Logan Drackett (Calgary, Alberta/Calgary Canucks) cleared a puck to center ice to Joffe, who skated on the Golden Griffin net to snap a low wrist shot inside the left post with 15:01 on the first-period clock.
Canisius (4-12-1, 3-7-1 AHA) evened the score with a power play goal 2:32 into the third period. Senior defenseman Matt Steif sent a pass from the top of the Tiger zone into the right face-off circle where senior forward Matt Hoover wristed a shot inside the near post.
