Geneva pedestrian hospitalized, ticketed after being struck by car on Savage Rd.

Emergency crews were dispatched to Savage Road in the town of Seneca on Wednesday around 3 p.m. after receiving a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Deputies responded with Ontario County EMS Coordinator, Stanley Fire Department, and Stanley Hall Gorham Ambulance.

Deputies say Stanley Weaver, 66, of Geneva was walking south on Savage Road as Marion Blakesly, 73, of Stanley was traveling north on the same road.

Deputies say the vehicle and pedestrian collided, resulting in injury. The two were traveling opposite directions, so it’s unclear if any unusual circumstances resulted in the collision.

Weaver was transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital complaining of head, chest, and right arm pain.

Deputies say that the pedestrian was cited and issued a traffic ticket for section 1156B of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

That charge will be answered at a later date.
