Deputies: Traffic stop in Varick leads to DWI, AUO charges

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Sunday around 2:12 a.m. deputies arrested a 31-year-old Lima resident following a traffic stop.

Michael Rivers, 31, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, as well as driving while intoxicated after deputies witnessed his vehicle nearly travel off the road on Route 96 in Varick.

After the traffic stop it was determined that Rivers had multiple license suspensions.

He was issued appearance tickets and the charges will be answered at a later date.
