New York State Supreme Court Justice Matthew Rosenbaum has been relieved of his judicial duties after an investigation into his conduct was launched.
The Office of Court Administration was recently made aware of the allegations, leading to the opening of an investigation by the Inspector General, according to WHEC-TV. The State Commission on Judicial Conduct was also contacted, according to their reporting.
Rosenbaum has been fully-relieved of his duties. He was re-elected in November, but has apparently declined to take his office next month.
The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office has made no public comment on the matter.
The exact nature of the allegations against Rosenbaum are unclear.
