Winter Festival of Lights in Macedon a big hit

A festival that runs every weekend on Walworth Road is receiving positive reviews from residents in Wayne County.

The Winter Festival of Lights was launched at the end of November, and runs through January 12th at the Log Cabin Restaurant every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

“It’s really great for us to go and put something together that people can really enjoy,” Pat Russell told RochesterFirst.com. “There’s nothing better than when you get those little kids out there, and they’re going through all the lights, and they’re pointing out every single one. It’s dark and you might not be able to see it but their faces just light up and you can just tell they are excited.”

There’s a horse drawn wagon ride, Christmas lights, a petting zoo for kids, and a lot of other family-friendly activities.

Looking for something to do this weekend with the kids home from school? This could be an option. The festival will be open on New Year’s Eve, as well.
