Lee Newspapers takes over Empire Farm Days

Empire Farm Days has new owners.

While it’s been around for 90-plus years, the multi-day event, held at the Rodman Lott & Son Farm on State Route 414 has been growing steadily over the years.

Now, Empire State Potato Growers has sold the event to Lee Newspapers Inc., publishers of the Country Folks weekly newspaper. They publish a variety of other publications, as well.

The annual event will continue to be held at the Seneca Falls site, with only one major change in 2020. Farm Days typically is held in August, but this year – will move to the end of July – running from the 29th to 31st.

Lee Newspapers General Manager and Vice President Bruce Button said the company is “excited to extend our reach of our agricultural publications and trade shows. It will bring our brand of professionalism and expertise to this event,” in a press release.
