The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 33-year-old Geneva resident after an investigation into public assistance.
Shelly Johnson, 33, of Geneva was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny after receiving $1,655 in public assistance illegally.
It’s alleged that Johnson had unreported tenants living with her, whom each were paying to live at her residence.
The unreported income resulted in the grand larceny charge.
The charge will be answered at a later date.
