Police: Clyde man threatened employees, attempted to steal TV at Seneca Falls Walmart

Police say a Clyde man was arrested after an investigation into a series of threats at the Walmart Super Center in Seneca Falls.

Philip Shutter, 24, was charged with criminal mischief, attempted petit larceny, conspiracy, and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police say the investigation began when they received a report that Shutter was threatening store employees after attempting to steal a television by bypassing an anti-theft device attached to it.

Shutter is accused of using a knife to damage the anti-theft device attached to the packaging. It was later discovered that Shutter coordinated the theft with another person, and possessed a prescription narcotic, which he was not prescribed.

Police say Shutter was processed at the Seneca County Correctional Facility.
