Bills fall to Jets in regular season finale,13-6 (full coverage)

Sunday’s 13-6 loss to the New York Jets had no playoff implications. Backup quarterback Matt Barkley played the majority of the game.

Josh Allen completed three passes for five yards. Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano, and Micah Hyde were among other starters that dressed but didn’t see much action.

The Bills might not have come away from Sunday’s game completely healthy, either. OL Ty Nsekhe and CB Levi Wallace both left the game with injuries.

Buffalo finishes the 2019 season with a 10-6 record.

PREVIEW:

The Buffalo Bills (10-5) will square off against the New York Jets (6-9) Sunday afternoon at New Era Field. This will be the final regular season game for both teams. The Bills are coming off a 24-17 loss to the Patriots while the Jets are coming off a 16-10 win over the Steelers.

Not every single starter on offense and defense will take the field to start the game on Sunday, but most of Buffalo’s top 11 on offense and defense will.

“We talked to the team and we’re going to play a majority of the guys and they’re going to practice this week and they’re going to play,” said head coach Sean McDermott. “To go into detail will take some time, but the majority of guys will play, not all of them. Josh (Allen) will play.”

Coach McDermott knew there would be debate about the merits of playing starters in a game that cannot impact one way or the other their playoff seeding with Buffalo locked into the top Wild Card seed.
