A new law will make it easier to receive in vitro fertilization and fertility preservation services on January 1, 2020.
New York is mandating coverage of drugs prescribed for IVG services under large group health insurance policies.
The state will also require coverage of three cycles of IVF and prevent insurers from imposing age restrictions or lifetime limitations.
Health insurance policies that provide comprehensive care in New York will also have to cover fertility preservation services under the new law.
