Three hospitalized after two-car crash on Rt. 104 in Sodus

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a personal injury crash, which occurred at the intersection of State Route 104 and Ridge Road in the town of Sodus.

Deputies say a vehicle traveling east on Route 104 – operated by Donna Crandall, 70, of Sodus was struck by a vehicle operated by Amy Beck, 49, of Rochester.

The collision occurred when Crandall turned left in front of the Beck vehicle. Beck was injured in the crash and transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with injuries.

A passenger in her vehicle was not injured.

Crandall was transported to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. Daniel Crandall, 46, of Sodus was also injured in the crash and was transported to Newark-Wayne for treatment of his injuries.

Crandall was cited for failing to yield the right of way and will return to Sodus Town Court in January to answer the charges.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wallington Fire Department, Sodus Fire Department, Sodus Center Fire Department, Sodus Ambulance, Williamson Ambulance and Wayne County ALS.
