Shortsville teen strikes utility pole in Manchester, shutting down road for two hours

Deputies say a teenage driver from Shortsville struck a utility pole during an afternoon property damage crash on Saturday.

The crash occurred on Outlet and Faas roads in Manchester, according to a press release from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say Jaden Murad, 19, of Shortsville lost control of his vehicle while traveling west on Faas Road.

As result of the crash Outlet Road was closed between Faas and Curran roads for two hours.

Manchester Fire Department, Shortsville Ambulance and RG&E all responded to the scene.

No word on whether tickets were issued following the crash. Extent of injuries was also not released.
