Deputies say one person was sent to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash in the town of Savannah.
Christopher Pagano, 21, of Seneca Falls ws traveling north on Hogback Road when a deer ran out in front of him. As he swerved to miss it – Pagano’s vehicle drove up the tapered part of the guide rail – forcing his vehicle off the roadway.
The vehicle then became airborne, as it went off the east edge of a bridge that spans over three sets of railroad tracks, according to deputies.
Deputies say Pagano was able to call 911 for help, and his father, who was following him in another vehicle was able to help him to safety.
Pagano was taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital. Deputies say they were assisted by Savannah Fire and EMS.
