The 21-year-old man who shot another man in the leg at Destiny USA on Black Friday was acting in self-defense, according to his defense lawyers.
Kyree Truax, who faces charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment, appeared in court for a bail hearing on Wednesday morning.
During the hearing, his defense lawyers argued that Truax had been acting in self-defense during the Black Friday shooting at Destiny USA.
The defense says that Truax fired his gun during a fight started by another group that outnumbered his. He fired twice, shooting the leg of a man in the other group while the other bullet was found in the ceiling.
