The Victor Blue Devils took down the Newark Reds to win the 2019 Finger Lakes Tip-Off Tournament at Newark High School Saturday night. Victor never trailed in this game, but Newark was down by just two points going into the fourth quarter. Matt Caggiano was named MVP of the tournament for the Blue Devils. Caggiano also made the All-Tournament Team along with his two teammates CJ James and Will Tehan.
On the girls side, the Waterloo Indians picked up a 27-point road win over the Hornell Red Raiders. With that win, the Indians are now 4-0 to start the season. Allie Smith scored a game-high 16 points.
