GreenStar Cooperative Market and the Communication Workers of America filed an agreement with the National Labor Relations Board in an effort to settle a dispute between the company and its pro-union employees.
The agreement, approved by the Region 3 director of the NLRB on Nov. 20, states the Ithaca company agreed to post a notice in conspicuous places at the co-op at 701 W. Buffalo Road, and GreenStar must comply with the terms and provisions of the notice.
According to a Freedom of Information Act request by The Ithaca Journal, the NLRB says the dispute is still an open case, pending an ongoing compliance investigation.
On July 18, the GreenStar Organizing Committee filed a document with the NLRB accusing the business of a violation of a labor act for several incidents. GreenStar denied the allegations.
