Firefighters in Ithaca rescued a woman Monday morning from a car that crashed into a snowplow.
Investigators say a car crashed with a plow around 9:30 a.m. on Slaterville Rd. near Burns Rd. in Ithaca.
The car slid off the road and down an embankment. The driver was able to get out, but a woman was trapped inside.
Crews were able to pull the car back toward the road so it wouldn’t fall farther down the ravine. Firefighters were then able to extricate the woman from the car. She was taken to the hospital.
Both the driver of the car and plow had minor injuries, firefighters said.
