Alex Barre-Boulet scored the game-winner with 16 seconds remaining in overtime to the lift the Syracuse Crunch over the Binghamton Devils, 4-3, tonight at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.
Barre-Boulet paced the team with two goals on the night, while Dominik Masin and Ross Colton both tallied a multi-point night with two assists each. The win moves the Crunch to 11-8-2-0 on the season and 2-0-0-0 in the 10-game season series against the Devils.
Goaltender Spencer Martin earned the win with 26 saves between the pipes for the Crunch. Gilles Senn stopped 38-of-42 in net for the Devils. Syracuse was unable to convert on six power play opportunities and went 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
After a scoreless first period, the Crunch broke the stalemate just eight seconds into the middle frame. Barre-Boulet grabbed the puck at the right boards and netted a wrister as we cut across the slot. Mitchell Stephens and Luke Witkowski tallied the assists.
