Action on the local hardwood got underway with a reasonable slate of games on Friday across the Wayne-Finger Lakes boys and girls basketball leagues.
On the boys side, Clyde-Savannah rolled over Romulus while Red Jacket topped Pavilion. A late rally from the Big Green of Naples fell short as they dropped a 6-point decision to Mount Morris.
In girls basketball, day one of the South Seneca Thanksgiving Tip-Off is complete with the hosts falling to Mynderse while Pal-Mac defeated Weedsport. The tournament’s second day will kick-off on Saturday with South Seneca facing Weedsport at 4:00 pm followed by Mynderse taking on Pal-Mac in the championship game. Both games will be streamed live on FL1 Sports as Dave Barnick and Mike Alessio will have the call.
