‘OUR BIGGEST YEAR YET’: Volunteers celebrate incredible turnout, vast community support on Thanksgiving

Organizers say more than 1,100 were served at Seneca County Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Another year, another overwhelming success.

“This was our biggest year yet,” United Way Executive Director Rhonda Jasper excitedly reported Friday morning. She said the dinner, which was hosted at the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge, provided 1,142 meals for local residents.

Dan’s Design Landscape Construction delivered more than 600 lbs. of turkey meat to the site ahead of the Thanksgiving Day dinner.

Jasper noted that for different families, there are a lot of reasons that community members might need a place to go on a holiday like this one. She says this annual effort is one that couldn’t happen without incredible support from the community, as well as the volunteers and supporters who make it all possible.
