Lyons man accused of holding woman against her will during domestic

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons man following the investigation of a domestic incident.

Deputies say Dennis Smith, 35, of Lyons was charged with unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment after the incident, in which he head-butted a female victim.

Deputies say he also held her down against her will, prevenient her from moving. The incident unfolded in front of an 8-year-old child, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Smith was transported to the Wayne County Jail pending arraignment. The charges will be answered at a later date.
