The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce and Hampton Inn Seneca Falls have recognized the Seneca Falls Library as the November 2019 Business of the Month.
The Seneca Falls Library is an association library whose mission is to serve the community’s educational, informational and leisure needs through the provision of literary materials, programs, meeting venues and multimedia services. “The Seneca Falls Library offers many kinds of programs for all ages all year long without ever charging its patrons. It is an honor to recognize a business that constantly gives back to our community,” states Megan Slater, Membership Development Manager at Seneca County Chamber.
The Mynderse Library officially had a place to start at 31 Fall St in October of 1904. This is where the library stayed until moving to its current location at 47 Cayuga Street in November of 2003 when it became the Seneca Falls Library. The library is involved in outreach programs in local schools and at Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Story walk programs (exercising mind and body), valuable training programs, a free summer lunch program, bookmobile, and many more programs! The library is open Mondays – Fridays 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Saturdays 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and Sundays 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
The Seneca Falls Library Fundraiser is coming up soon: Cookie Walk & Holiday Bazaar, December 7th 5:00 – 8:00 PM, where patrons can buy cookies by the pound and shop for Christmas with venders and crafters.
