A judge sentenced former Rochester City Court Judge Leticia Astacio to 180 days in jail.
Earlier this month, she admitted to intentionally violating the terms of her probation on a DWI charge to get back in front of a judge, arguing her prior convictions were illegal.
At Tuesday’s hearing, she admitted she violated the terms of her probation on Aug. 13 and Aug. 20, 2019, by not showing up for appointments with her probation officer. She told the court she was not admitting to failing to cooperate with an interlock device on her car, nor would she plead guilty to failing to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
Back in 2016, Astacio was convicted of DWI. Since then, she has been back in court several times for violating the terms of her probation.
