RIT came out firing, peppering Army junior goalie Trevin Kozlowki with five shots in the opening minute, before freshman forward Caleb Moretz (Fairbanks, AK/Flin Flon Bombers) fed Cameron from behind the Black Knights’ net for a one-timer inside the right post 1:07 into regulation.
The Tigers made it a 2-0 game with 10:15 on the first-period clock. Senior defenseman Darren Brady (Lake Orion, MI/New Jersey Titans) sent a nice cross-ice feed from the left boards to freshman forward Colton Trumbla (Winnipeg, Manitoba/St. Michael’s Buzzers) for a scoring one-timer down low.
