HOW IT HAPPENED

Army got on the board with 7:21 left in the second with a power play tally following a Tiger tripping penalty. Junior forward Tucker DeYoung got open for a low shot from the left wing that scored through a crowd in front of the RIT crease with 20 seconds remaining on the extra-man attempt.

The Black Knights took a 2-0 lead with 5:48 left in the second after a shot by junior defenseman Matt Berkovitz from the top of the slot deflected into the Tiger net through a crowd.

Army was hit with a tripping penalty with 2:21 left in regulation before junior goalie Logan Drackett (Calgary, Alberta/Calgary Canucks) headed for the bench with a minute and a half on the clock. Army fought off the 6-on-4 attempt but Dupuis tipped a shot by junior defenseman Dan Willett (Bayville, NY/Bloomington Thunder) from the point into the goal with 7.6 left.
