Syracuse University basketball player Jalen Carey will be out indefinitely with an injured thumb.
Carey, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard, will have surgery on the thumb this Friday, according to a Tweet from SU basketball’s official Twitter account. Syracuse director of athletic communications Pete Moore also confirmed Carey’s status.
Carey will not play in Syracuse’s game tonight against Cornell. The injured thumb is on his right (shooting) hand.
