Deputies: Ovid man strikes two parked cars, charged with DWI

Deputies say an Ovid man was arrested on several charges after striking two cars along a road in Lodi over the weekend.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Saturday at approximately 12:40 a.m. deputies arrested Arthur E. Johnson, 37, of Ovid following a property damage accident.

Deputies say that Johnson was traveling west on Townsend Road in Lodi when he left the north shoulder of the roadway and struck a parked car.

The impact from the crash caused the parked car to strike a third vehicle. Two of the vehicles suffered heavy damage; while the third suffered minor damage.

Investigators determined that Johnson was under the influence of alcohol.

He was charged with DWI, driving with a BAC over 0.08 percent, first-degree AUO, unlawful possession of marijauan and moving from lane unsafely.

Johnson was arraigned and will answer the charges at a later date.
