The record-setting career of Marion girls soccer player Chloe DeLyser came to an end on Saturday as the Black Knights fell to defending state champions Stillwater-II, 3-2, in a Section V Class C semifinal game at Cortland High School.
DeLyser opened the scoring with 22:50 remaining in the first half, tallying her 76th goal of the season and 336th of her six-year career. DeLyser, who will attend and play at Ohio State, owns the New York state record and has scored more goals than any girl who has played varsity high school soccer in the United States.
