Yankees’ DJ LeMahieu has already been awarded a Silver Slugger this offseason, and on Thursday he followed that up by finishing fourth in AL MVP voting.

He beat out Astros third baseman Alex Bregman, who finished second after receiving the other 13 first-place votes and had 335 points. Oakland A’s shortstop Marcus Semien finished third with 22 third-place votes and 228 points overall.
LeMahieu ended up with six third-place votes, 10 fourth-place votes, and a total of 178 points.
He batted .327 this season and set career-highs in three major categories: 26 home runs, 33 doubles, and 102 RBI in 145 games. LeMahieu was also an All-Star in 2019 and had a career-high .518 slugging percentage.
