Police: Newark man sold ‘large quantity’ of cocaine in Canandaigua

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a 27-year-old Newark resident as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Police say Joshua Richardson, 27, of Newark was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony.

Richardson is accused of selling a large amount of cocaine while in the city, according to police, who made the arrest on Tuesday.

The Canandaigua Police Department was assisted with the investigation by members of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say Richardson was held in the Ontario County Jail in lieu of bail. Further charges against Richardson are pending.
