Deputies say that a 28-year-old Geneva man, who was in the process of being released from the Ontario County Jail – was taken back into custody after a warrant for his arrest on sex assault charges was discovered.
Joshua Davila-Alvarado, 28, of Geneva was arrested as a fugitive from justice as he was being released from the Ontario County Jail after an active warrant for second-degree sexual assault was discovered.
That warrant had been issued on March 28th, 2018 in New Haven, Connecticut.
Deputies say that Geneva man is being held at the Ontario County Jail pending extradition back to Connecticut to face the charge.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says that Davila-Alvarado was previously being held on unrelated charges.
