John Mannion announced his campaign for State Senate to represent NY’s 50th Senate District on Wednesday morning in Schiller Park.
The 50th district represents suburban Syracuse and other communities in Central New York, including parts of Cayuga and Onondaga counties.
The announcement comes after Sen. Bob Antonacci was recently elected to a seat on the NY Supreme Court and is anticipated to resign from his seat on the Senate.
Mannion previously ran for the position last year, earning 49 percent of the vote against Antonacci. He is a well-known local educator and community leader.
