The meeting has been cancelled.
On Friday, Seneca Falls Town Supervisor Greg Lazzaro announced that a meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 14th at 10 a.m. was being cancelled.
The subject of that session was going to be to address the ongoing culvert issues and road closure in the Town.
West Bayard Street has been closed since late-summer when a culvert under the roadway was inspected, and deemed unsafe for travel.
A meeting was arranged for Town and New York State Canal Corp. officials to discuss possible remedies and air concerns – but that session was abruptly called off on Friday.
“We will be having a phone conference,” said Lazzaro in an emailed statement. “There will not be a quorum of the board attending.”
Additional information was not immediately available, but prior to Election Day – Town Councilor Doug Avery said that state and local officials would need to work together on a remedy.
